About Paula Richards

Paula Richards Welcome and thank you for visiting my online gallery. In 1998, I left a twenty-five year nursing career to pursue my rekindled passion for art. I had become extremely restless, and knew that I had to follow my heart into a direction that felt more natural to me. I wasn't sure how else I could help people as wonderfully as one can in nursing, but on the way to learning how to paint, I learned how to create a joy filled life.

Now, my dream is to share this joy with you.

It is joy that springs from being true to myself, from following my passion and finding my purpose. It is from discovering that the vast creative power of God resides within each of us, connecting us to an infinite source of energy, wisdom, and inspiration. My artwork is an expression of how I dance with the energy of life, by being open to the wonder and mystery of it with a sense of gratitude, reverence, and awe.

Both in the creating of my work and in your viewing it, there will be many different thoughts and interpretations. However, my underlying message is always the same.
